Welcome to My Home Page

Working with Venetian Plaster is very rewarding for me. I enjoy the material, the smoothness and creaminess as it glides across the surface with my trowel. I love the way it changes and begins to come to life with the additional layers as they are applied. Depending on the size of trowel used and the length of strokes, the look varies with each new layer. The look can be soft and elegant or have multiple shades of color that can be used to give it a more vibrant look. It can have the look of stone, having the appearance of a rough surface or it can be polished smooth as glass with the appearance of fine marble. The color combinations and designs are endless really.
The page entitled "PORTFOLIO" displays pieces completed with only venetian plaster using small knives and trowels and sometimes toothpicks for intricate detail. Because venetian plaster is very thick, the detail work is much more difficult than with acryllic paint and obviously more time consuming with the multiple layers.
The page entitled "GALLERY" will give you an idea of the larger expanses with the use of venetian plaster created with the larger trowels. Here there are also examples of faux finishes, woodgrains and murals that I have completed for clients in the Vero Beach and Orlando area. I hope you will continue to return to my site for new pieces as I complete them.
